主讲人介绍：

   Dr. Lawal Marafa is a professor at the Department of Geography and Resource Management, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also serves as the Director, Postgraduate programme in Sustainable Tourism. Dr. Marafa is a Senior Fellow of the World Leisure Academy and member of the Board of Directors of the World Leisure Organization. Dr. Marafa teaches courses that include: Tourism Policy and Development, Recreation Planning and Management; Ecotourism Policy; Ecotourism Practicum and Management; Globalization; Sustainable Development, Natural Resource Management, etc. In recognition of commitment to excellent knowledge delivery, Dr. Marafa was awarded the “Exemplary Teacher Award” for outstanding teaching performance and received the Royal Belum Inaugural Ecotourism Award, Perak, Malaysia, and served as Facilitator at the (Bill) Clinton Global Initiative in Hong Kong, 2008.
Dr. Marafa has organized and chaired annual conferences on Sustainable Tourism at the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2012. Dr. Marafa has supervised many Ph.D. and Master students and has published over 130 manuscripts in academic and various media. Dr. Marafa’s regional interest is in Africa, Asia, and Eastern European countries and is fluent in Russian Language and speaks basic French and conversational Cantonese.
