Overview of the Scientific Research

TheSchool of BusinessatGuangxi Universityhas always been committed to closely integrating scientific research with economic and social development, strengthening the core of national development strategic needs, and concentrating efforts on solving hot, painful, and obstructive issues in Guangxi's economic and social development. To achieve this goal, the School has condensed five key research directions (accounting and corporate finance, enterprise management, technological economy and management, tourism management, China-ASEAN business management), established two research teams (statistics and management cross-science research team, and China-ASEAN digital intelligence culture, tourism, and management innovation team), conducted organized scientific research, and made forward-looking strategic deployments for major scientific research issues.

In the past three years, our school has made significant progress in scientific research, obtaining 13 national-level scientific research projects, achieving historic breakthroughs in National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) Special Projects and National Social Science Fund of China(NSSFC) Major Projects; winning 9 awards (1 first prize, 2 second prizes) at the 17th Guangxi Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, ranking first among the secondary schools of Guangxi University. In addition, a series of policy advice reports written by our faculties have been adopted by relevant departments such as the Ministry of Education and approved by the main leaders of the autonomous region, providing decision support for major issues of national and regional economic and social development. Teachers in our school have published 145 academic papers in high-level academic journals at home and abroad, covering FT50, ABS four-star, and Chinese authoritative journals such as "Journal of Business Ethics", "European Journal of Operational Research", "Systems Engineering Theory and Practice", "China Population, Resources and Environment", "Chinese Journal of Management Science", etc., comprehensively enhancing the reputation of our college in the academic community. Professor Zhu Bangzhu of our school has been selected for Clarivate's "Highly Cited Researchers" list for two consecutive years (2023 and 2022), named as a top 2% scientist in the world for two consecutive years (2023 and 2022), and won the "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" title from Elsevier for three consecutive years (2023, 2022, and 2021). His research achievements have been highly recognized and widely concerned in the academic community.
